Happy Halloween 2011
High School cross country runners can be anything they want to be.
This was our final day in Taipei…
…and what a why to spend it by visiting this fantastic park dedicated to the late Chiang Kai-shek.
The park is complete with gardens, fish ponds and theater hall.
The walk around the memorial and the entire park took us more than three hours…
…and is a must see if you’re visiting Taiwan.
Next up, Naha, Okinawa.
Looking to stay fit and healthy while on vacation, then find the closest shopping area and walk, walk, walk.
Randee and I discovered the largest shopping area in all of Taiwan, the Shihlin Night Market.
Walking from one end to the other and back can take several hours and makes for a wonderful cultural experience.
Most people speak some English and everyone barters.
Food is great and people are charming.
More will follow on Taiwan in Mondays, Running with the Big Dog. Now to look at trying something new for dinner.
Not to be outdone by Tiffany Edwads Hunt at http://www.bigislandchronicle.com and Damon Tucker at http://damontucker.wordpress.com/ who both have really cute kids I wanted to post a couple of photo’s of my own cute kid, Jaclynn Joseph, who is a model in Taipei, Taiwan.
Jaclynn ran cross-country at Waiakea High School, (Class of 2000) which may account for her slim, athletic body, but her beauty can only be credited to her dad!
