  1. I think you need more ILH runners in there because of there times, which are low 16s.
and the OIA also has 2 more runners both from Castle High.

  2. Itʻs very hard to compare cross country since everyone runs different courses, but if your basing it on times shouldnʻt there be at least 1 or 2 OIA guys up there? Although the recent Kualoa meet seemed to run a bit short.
Okay well Iʻm pretty familiar with these runners, since most have made their name in cross country and many in track of the past year, but you seemed to have misspelled the Kamehameha boys names.
And me being a fan of particularly the ILH, I know Pleskacz(Iol), Scharer(Pun), Pak(castle), Kaneko(Kam), and Hobson(Mid) have placed higher than Higa(Iol) at Kualoa. If this was only chance and you are basing it off overall performances, than Kaneko should be up there due to his first 2 weeks excellent performances. Also I do believe that Sato(Kam) has beaten Esaki(Iol) in all three of this seasons meets.
So I think your top 10 either needs to be edited or you need to take the “The following list was compiled after reviewing the results of the first three regular season cross-country meeting in all five leagues, OIA, ILH, KIL, MIL and the BIIF.” off the top of the page because you are not only basing it off this years results, but basing it off past years results, hidden knowledge, or your own beliefs.

(If your using results at least have the courtesy to the runners to use their names which are posted in the results, and not unknown names/languages like “Kuhawi”)

    • Good points. I appreciate the feedback. I appologize to Kuhawai for leaving the second “a” out.

  3. what did you base the girls list on? if it is times posted this season you are way off base with your #3, 7, 8, 9, and 10 girls.

    • The boys and girls list are my choices for who I believe are the best in the state right now. Things to consider: league, course, prior race experience and more.

Why would you disagree with Tia Greenwell being listed as #3 is beyond me as she is the state runner-up. But that’s what people do when predictions are made.

USC was supposed to beat Washington by a large margin yesterday – they lost. I’m sure there are kids that will surprise us on Kauai this year. That is why they hold meets.

  4. How about top 5 team predictions? Also, I think you left out Keith of Mililani in the girls top ten, State champ two years ago and a definite top 10 contender as a senior.

  7. ILH Runner,

I think you will be making major adjustments to both of your top 10 lists after this weeks Punahou Invitational.
    Wait and see!
