HPA X-Country Course Changes Slightly
Hawaii Preparatory Academy will play host to a Big Island Interscholastic Federation cross-country meet on Saturday.
Ka Makani has changed the course slightly according to Athletic Director, Steve Perry. (See map above)
HPA has played host to numerous BIIF and state championships in the past, but this year Ka Makani will host only one regular season meet at their hilly Waimea campus due in part to the lack of travel funds for athletics.
Two times defending BIIF girl’s champion, Tialana Greenwell from Honokaa, is expected to run away with individual top honors at HPA.
For the boys it is a tossup on who can run the hills the best. Honokaa’s Chris Mosch is the slight favorite going into the race with teammate Josh Robinson along with Keaau’s Daniel Brooks and Makua Lani’s Dylan Hardie-Jordan are expected to be right on Mosch’s heals.
Complete results from the HPA meet, along with photos, will be posted on this blog around 3 pm on Saturday.
