Manute Bol dead at age 47
Manute Bol died at a Virginia hospital at age 47. He was being treated for severe kidney trouble and a painful skin condition.
Bol spent 10 seasons in the NBA and later worked closely with Sudan Sunrise, a humanitarian group based in Kansas.
During his professional basketball days Bol played for Washington, Golden State, Philadelphia and Miami. The 7 foot 6 inch basketball player was hospitalized since mid May.
