Big Dog’s Blog sets new personal records
Thank you to those that are regular visitors to my blog. When I started this blog in Feb ’09 I was getting about 47 hits per day. Since that time the number has been steadily rising and on Tuesday, July 6, it had a personal best day of 5,267 hits.
Thanks to my regular readers this blog now averages between 2K to 3K hits each day. Not a big deal compared to other, more popular sites, but a big deal to the Big Dog!
In recent months the most popular person on my blog is Caster Semenya, whose male/female controversy continues to stir interest. https://waynejoseph.wordpress.com/2009/11/22/caster-semenya-malefemale-controversy-continues/
Also attracting interest are the stories about international track & field starts such as: https://waynejoseph.wordpress.com/2009/11/18/worlds-best-pole-vaulter-russias-yelena-isinbaeva/
Michelle Wie also gets a lot of hits as does my story on the Hungarian that shattered the Big Island International Marathon women’s course record. https://waynejoseph.wordpress.com/2010/03/22/hungarian-shatters-big-island-marathons-womens-record/
Volcano’s Billy Barnett attracts lots of interest and so does my writings from Taiwan and about my international model daughter, Jaclynn Joseph. https://waynejoseph.wordpress.com/2009/07/09/the-article-about-my-daughter-in-the-hawaii-tribune/
I’ve also noticed that Monday’s column stories about the interesting people I meet get a steady following.
Again, thank you to all that come to read. Please feel free to leave your comments and/or suggestions.

I’ve been visiting more lately to see if there is any information about the upcoming high school XC season. Any news? 😉

I’ll be getting more on the blog about the high school x-country season within the next few weeks. I’m still waiting to get the BIIF schedule and then go from there. Would also like to post my top 20 predications of state competitors, both girls and boys. Thanks for reading!

Congrats!
The thing that makes this so great for not only you… it’s great for the community.
We are now getting an online documented version of Big Island Sports that we will always be able to find things down the line.
Kids can refer to your posts in writing letters to colleges as sources of proofs of their times…. etc.
Not to knock the newspaper as I know you write for them… unfortunately everything that is written for them… is only available for so long online before being archived in their catalog.
