BIIF 2010 Cross-Country Schedule Announced

BIIF cross-country season gets under way in August and the Big Dog cann't wait!

                              Big Island Interscholastic Federation Cross-Country for 2010-11 season

August 2 – HHSAA tryout start date for Cross country

August 28 – All Schools (optional) @ CLA for the Canefire Conditioner at 10 am

         (Sept 4 Preseason Coaches meeting at WHS, and Kealakehe at 9 am)

September 4 – East schools @ Waiakea; West schools @ Kealakehe at 10 am

September 11 – All Schools @ Kamehameha at 10 am (4 races)

September 18 –   BYE

September 25 – All Schools @ Waiakea at 10 am

October 2 – All Schools @ Hawaii Prep at 10 am

October 9 – All Schools @ Kamehameha at 2:30 pm (4 races)

October 16 – BYE

   All the above dates are on a Saturday the BIIF championships are on a Friday.  All are 2 races unless otherwise noted.

October 22 – BIIF Championships @ Hawaii Prep at 2 pm (4 races)

October 30 – HHSAA Championships @ Oahu starting at 9 am

   BIIF cross country coordinator is Mr. Stephen Perry at sperry@hpa.edu

  2. Sounds awesome,i can’t wait!!! I wish that they would have 4 races every time. I wonder who is going to coach Waiakea this season…… 🙂

  3. i agree with the first person, this is a very short season indeed!! our school, konawaena high school only has 8 runners, unlike a few years ago when we had about 40. we will still have fun and try our best!! what are the top female runners times for this year???

  4. The state championship time from last year was 18:53 (Ellie Brady) and the Biif champ’s time was 20:04 (Tialana Greenwell). This year’s Biif championship time should be a minute or two higher because it’ll be @ HPA; the state championship will probably be @ CORP so it’ll probably be hillier and slower than last year’s race.
