2)      Pierce Murphy, Island School, senior, state runner-up will give Martinez a strong challenge.

4)      Dylan Martinez, Leilehua, sophomore

5)      Chris Mosch, Honokaa, senior, defending BIIF champ

6)      Ryan Hobson, Mid Pacific Institute, senior

7)       Troy Esaki, Iolani, junior

8)      Justin Higa, Iolani, senior

9)      Nikolai Scharer, Punahou, sophomore

10)  Gianni Cuadrado, Kapolei

11)  Royce Yamane, Mililani, sophomore

12)  Zach Furguson, Maui Prep, senior

  1. The last I heard, Chad Nakaoka had been seriously ill and was doubtful to return this season. Not sure why Pierce is not feeling the love. Otherwise, it looks to be a pretty reasonable prediction.

  4. I haven’t been around for very long,so is this year one the fastest years overall and for the top 20? It seems this year is significantly faster than last year for both the boys and girls. It seems next year will only be a faster group.

  5. Good point SK23. It is unlikely that Leilehua canl win it all (which I think they will) unless their number three runner (Estranda) makes the top 20.
