Big Island Marathon Nearing Capacity
Big Island Marathon & half-marathon nearing capacity
With less than three months to go before the 14th annual running of the Big Island International Marathon both the marathon (26.2 miles) and half marathon (13.1 miles) are nearing its capacity.
As of Dec 28 the marathon is 92 percent full and the half marathon 100 percent filled. The 5K run/walk is 35 percent filled.
Each race will be closed once all the available slots are taken and race officials expect the marathon and half marathon to close in early January.
If you’re thinking about signing up for either of those two distance events you better make up your mind soon before all the slots are taken.
