BIIF Wrestling Opens Season with Kealakehe Meet

BIIF & State Champion Megan Aina

Big Island Interscholastic Federation kicks off their wrestling season with all schools hitting the mat at Kealakehe on Saturday, Jan 8.

Defending BIIF and State Champion Megan Aina of Kamehameha returns in the lightweight division.

  1. Ok… this is where I get to step in and say something about a picture.

    The wrestler on the bottom right… this is not meant to offend him if he happens to read this… only to help him.

    He needs to improve posture as a quick hard tap on the head would send him back in this posture.

    His leg arm being that close to his leg provide for an excellent shot opportunity as well, as his arm now does not have mobility backwards because the knee blocks it.

    I wrestled for over 12 years of my life and was an assistant at Waiakea for a year.

    LOL… never did I think I would see a picture on a blog and think it would bring back a coaching flashback like this… but that wrestlers posture is just so “Wrong”.

    Hope he learns from his coaches.

    Knowing my luck… he’ll go onto win state championship using this stance. LOL!
