Wie drops to tie for fifth mid way through final round of Canadian Open

Mid way through the final round of the Canadian Open Michelle Wie has slipped into a tie for fifth place.

Wie, 21 years old for Hawaii, is the defending Canadian Champion, but faltered during the mid holes of the final round to drop to 1 over for the day and 11 under for the Open.

With six holes to go the weather has turned cold and windy with a slight drizzle which makes it difficult for the Stanford student to make a comeback.

At the end of regulation Wie shot a par 72 to finish in a tie for second at 12 under par.
