Brantley Center hosting Honokaa Western 5K walk/run and 10 K run on Nov 19
The Brantley Center in Honoka’a, Hawaii will be having a first annual Honoka’a Western 5K Walk/Run and a 10K Run on Saturday, November 19, 2011. Both the run and walk/run will start at 8:30 am. fronting the Honoka’a County Gym at the sports complex. The course will take runers/walkers out towards Kukuihaele. The walkers/runners will turn around and return to the sports complex. There will be prizes and awards as well as refreshments at the finish. All participants will receive a t-shirt. The cost for the event is $25 for either the 5K walk/run or the 10k run. The Western Walk/Run event is a fundraiser for the Brantley Center in Honoka’a. The Brantley Center has been providing empowering and rehabilitative services to disabled adults in Hamakua for over forty years.
