Saul Mendoza – Olympic Fencer from Bolivia makes appearance in Hilo
- My daughter has recently discovered fencing, and has spent her summer learning and training with the Hawaii Island Fencing Association. This week Saul Mendoza, who represented Bolivia in fencing in the 1984 Olympics (foil and epee) and is a 3 time South American Fencing Champion, visited with the Hilo fencing group to share his knowledge and expertise.
- Saul is also the owner and Head Coach of the San Diego Fencing Center
- and owner of The Fencing Post – the largest fencing equipment company on the west coast
